Managing Assemblies

Release Version:

2001

Description:

The Managing Assemblies course teaches the skills to design and manage large assemblies using PTC's proven top-down design and large assembly management techniques. Students will learn how to create design layouts, and design frameworks known as skeletons for large assemblies in this training course. Additionally, they learn assembly management techniques and functions that enhance the performance of Pro/ENGINEER when retrieving and modifying large assembly models. Students design and manage "real-world" parts and assemblies in the hands-on laboratory exercises, which in turn will help them in applying the techniques and best practices that they learned back in their own design environment. This course has two primary goals. First, provide students with the skills and knowledge required to create assemblies using the top-down design methodology. Second, enable students to enhance their productivity by following large assembly management techniques. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to create an assembly using the top-down design philosophy, and manage large assemblies using best practices that enhance productivity.
