Course Details
Course Name:
Interactive Surface Design in Pro/ENGINEER
Release Version:
2001
Description:
This course covers all the aspects of freeform surfacing, a newly added dimension in the surfacing capabilities of Pro/ENGINEER. Students learn to create freeform, interactive curves and surfaces needed to build conceptual design, engineering design and reverse styling models. Emphasis is on to learn about the unique integration of flexible freeform surfacing and the parametrically controlled geometric surfaces.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to create high curvature, complex surfaces with tangent and curvature continuities. They will also learn to, create blends and transitions surfaces, interactively manipulate the tangency and use reference data to build reverse styling models.
Hands-on time with freeform surfacing will enable students to learn the methods and techniques used in creation of spline based modeling.
